20 people traveling to Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa state have been abducted by gunmen who also killed the former education secretary of Nasarawa local government area of the state, Malami Salihu.
The 20 kidnapped victims were traveling in three vehicles and were intercepted on Tuesday afternoon along Mungi Sharp Conner in Buga Gwari, Gadabuke area of Toto LGA, by the gunmen who marched them into a bush.
Secretary of Gadabuke emirate council, Abdullahi Baba told The Nation that the late Salihu was among those kidnapped but his lifeless body was later found in the bush near the road.
“The former education secretary was traveling alongside his friend in a private vehicle and was also taken away with others but his dead body was later found in a nearby bush.”
The Secretary of Gadabuke emirate council further revealed that the kidnappers have not contacted relatives of the victims.
